Midwest Flowering Deciduous Shrubs

Deciduous plants lose their leaves at the end of the growing season. Midwest deciduous flowering shrubs can have a variety of shapes: columnar, pyramidal, round, vase, weeping, and upright. These plants have multiple stems arising from a common crown at ground level or are single-stemmed that begin branching at a point near the ground. Recommended for the Midwest for the seasonal ornamental value of its distinct flowers and year round aesthetics.
