Colorado Spruce
Kendall Hill Nursery grows and sells Colorado Blue Spruce also known as Picea Pungens. Colorado Spruce trees are one of the most popular evergreens. They retain their color year round and are known for their silvery, blue-green colored needles. They maintain a very consistent form with a conical, narrow shape. Colorado Spruce can be used in clumps as a natural wind screen but are also excellent individually and make excellent shade trees. When mature the Colorado Spruce will reach a height of 50’-75’ with a spread of 10’-20’ in urban areas but can grow much larger in the wild. It can be grown successfully in Zones 2-7.
