Honeylocust, Skyline
Kendall Hill Nursery grows and offers the Honeylocust Skyline. The tree is an excellent large shade tree which is extremely effective at providing filtered shade. At full maturity it can reach heights from 45’ to 55’ feet and can spread from 30’ to 35’. The Honeylocust Skyline is used by landscape architects because of its strong trunk interesting color change through the seasons and its overall durability. The tree is visually interesting throughout the year and features a dramatic foliage change in the fall months. The tree is pyramidal in shape and its leaves are dark green through the spring and summer seasons and then turning golden yellow in the fall. The Honeylocust Skyline leaves are small and evenly distributed which creates an excellent natural shade filter and a pleasant flow of direct sunlight. The interesting foliage change through the seasons makes it an excellent specimen for any property or neighborhood. The Honeylocust Skyline needs full sunlight and can be successfully grown in Zones 4 to 7.
