Kendall Hill Nursery grows and offers Flowering Crabtrees, also known as Malus ‘Prairifire’. The Flowering Crabapple is a visually interesting tree year round with brilliant leaves and fruit to an attractive reddish-brown bark in the winter. From bright red flowers in the spring to decorative reddish-purple fruit in the summer this tree provides many enjoyable color shifts. The trees fruit is friendly to birds and animals so this makes an excellent landscape addition for bird and animal lovers. The Flowering Crabtree can be successfully grown in Zones 3 – 8.
