Japanese Tree Lilac

Japanese Tree Lilac Kendall Hill Nursery grows and sells Japanese Tree Lilacs which are also known as Syringa reticulata . The Japanese Tree Lilac is an excellent addition to any landscape plan. It is a deciduous small tree that grows a moderate rate. At full maturity, the Japanese Tree Lilac reaches 15’-20’ tall with a 15’ spread. It has glossy reddish-brown exfoliating bark that is accented by small, ivory colored flowers. It is the largest species of Lilac and the only one that regularly makes a small tree rather than a shrub. The tree has an upright oval growth habit, becoming more rounded with age. The Japanese Tree Lilac prefers full sun to partial sun with a moist, well-drained soil of average fertility, but it is highly adaptable to poor soils, compacted soils, various soil pH, and drought. It is grown successfully in Zones 4 to 7.
