Zelkova
Kendall Hill Nursery grows and offers the Zelkova, or Zelkova Serrata. The Zelkova is a hardy tree that is an excellent shade and street tree. It prefers moist, well-drained, deep soils and full sun. However, the Zelkova is very adaptable and is tolerant to heat, drought, pollution, poor soils, and various pH levels. Its peeling bark on mature trees exposes orange patches creating visually stunning color. The Zelkova matures at about 50’ to nearly 80’ with a 50’ to 75’ spread. It can be successfully grown in Zones 5 to 8.
